OCTANE is a diverse group of local business owners, artists, technology experts and community members who have an interest in how technology affects the community. From issues such as recycling to internet access in rural areas, OCTANE, has an interest.

Security and Safe Computing: Learn how to use readily-available tools to keep your computing environment safe from hackers, viruses and spam attacks. Workshop attendees will see what settings in your browser can eliminate common unwanted issues. This two-hour workshop will also cover on-line tools for building websites, and driving traffic to your on-line presence.
